Meet Member Artist Deb Taylor…

Deb Taylor is an artist whose work radiates warmth, wonder, and emotional depth. As founder and owner of Paintings by Deb LLC, Deb creates vibrant paintings that invite viewers into a world of joy, reflection, and connection. From whimsical animals bursting with personality to richly layered abstract impressionist, landscape, floral, still life, and figurative works, her art is unified by expressive color and a heartfelt celebration of life’s beauty.

Deb began painting in 2015 and quickly discovered that art was more than a creative outlet—it was a way of seeing and engaging with the world. Since then, she has remained deeply committed to growing as an artist, studying weekly with her longtime mentor, Bruce Marion. Through this ongoing dedication, Deb continues to refine her technique while fearlessly exploring new ideas, subjects, and emotional landscapes.

In 2026, Deb expanded her artistic community by joining the Savage Area Arts Community and attending her first Artists Round Table. The experience energized and inspired her, reinforcing her belief in the power of artists supporting one another through shared learning, encouragement, and creative exchange.

At the heart of Deb’s work is an authentic and deeply personal story. Following the loss of her husband in 2025, she embraced a philosophy they shared throughout their lives together: to focus on what remains and to live each day fully. Painting became both a sanctuary and a language—an avenue for expressing gratitude, processing grief, and honoring the beauty still present in everyday life.

For Deb, painting is ultimately about creating moments of joy and transformation. Her work reminds us that life itself is layered—with heartbreak and healing, sorrow and gratitude, color and shadow all existing together. Through every brushstroke, she offers viewers not only art, but also hope: the reminder that even in life’s most difficult seasons, there is still meaning, beauty, and the promise of joy.
