Deb McKenzie, is a native Iron Ranger from Virginia Minnesota who has been a Savage resident since 1993. Deb says, “Prior to retiring in 2020, I spent my 40 year career working with Community Education departments for the schools districts in Burnsville, Bloomington, Richfield and Farmington.

I’ve been a crafter all my life, making candles and beadwork in middle school, crochet blankets, jewelry and pottery in high school and college, and experimenting with a variety of traditional and trending craft and art works throughout adulthood. Art and creating is my source of calmness and solemnity. Besides the satisfaction of accomplishment, creating something new and unique allows me to stretch my imagination and escape from the stress of everyday life.
